"The Steward II" is a mixed media painting on cradled gesso board; acrylic, paper, vinyl; 16 x 20 x 7/8".
The Madonna like figure features a metallic gold paper compass halo, iridescent blue vinyl stars for hair, and a map section of the Standing Rock Reservation that connects to the fox figure. The Madonna and fox figures are painted on real-estate map pages. In the background are buildings made from various collage papers. The dark blue sky features a scattering of metallic gold star like forms.
This painting was featured in my Interwoven show at Germantown Performing Arts Center in Germantown, TN, November 2019.
Painting will be shipped in a protective cover in padded cardboard packaging.
