"Mighty Magellanic" is a mixed media painting on wood-acrylic and glitter; 16" round x 3/4" deep.
The interior of the face features my interpretation of a Hubble space telescope photograph of a small magellanic cloud. Silver glitter is scattered throughout the hair shape to represent stars in the night sky. The colors in the geometric forms surrounding the head are pulled from colors in the face painting. Painting is wired for hanging, signed on the front and back.
This painting was featured in my Interwoven show at Germantown Performing Arts Center in Germantown, TN, November 2019.
Painting will be shipped in a protective cover in padded cardboard packaging.
