"Bienvenue" is a mixed media painting on canvas, acrylic and color pencil. It measures 24"w x 30"h.
This painting was part of my "Wild In The City" exhibition at Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, TN. Wild animals that I had seen in different parts of the city and suburbs were the focus for several canvases. I saw this peacock outside a local Hampton Inn. I adapted some of the hotel carpet pattern inside the green of the lawn in the painting in front of the azalea bushes and crepe myrtle trees.
