"Our Town: Hernando, Mississippi" is a 12' 6" x 5' mural displayed in the cafe section of the Hernando, Mississippi Kroger store. It depicts the DeSoto County Courthouse and the Hernando Water Tower on the horizon line with native trees, plants, and animals on both sides of the composition.
"California Dreaming" is a 36" square mixed media on panel piece I completed for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
This untitled trompe l'oeil chalk painting was drawn on the sidewalk of the shops of Saddlecreek in Germantown, Tennessee in conjunction with a sidewalk art contest and Mother's Day event to benefit LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Does Mr. Crab escape the crafty mollusk??
I work with Germantown Performing Arts Center and their Summer Art Camps for children age 5-12. This three panel mural was a collaborative project with six middle school aged students. We focused on pattern design, gesture drawing from live models (they took turns posing), stamp creation and printing, and color design for creating the mural.
Streetscapes in Memphis, Tennessee.
Streetscapes was a public exhibition of two images from my series of paintings called "Cool Cats". The reproductions were displayed on the side of Union Centre parking garage in Memphis, TN at the corner of Union Avenue and Claybrook next door to Methodist Central Hospital.
The original paintings were acrylic on wood, about 6 x 8" or 7" square and included fourteen different music playing felines.. Other instruments included: banjo, flute, xylophone, vocalist, saxophone, guitar, bass, accordion, bongos, harmonica, piano and fiddle.
"Industries of West Memphis" mural in West Memphis, Arkansas is on the side of the Steele-Guiltner Tires building at Missouri Street and Broadway Avenue.
The mural depicts industries of West Memphis, Arkansas including: timber, transportation, agriculture and gaming.
It was done in collaboration with West Memphis high school and junior high school students and their art teachers.
"Strawberry Fields" is a fiberglass goat I painted for the Goat Days Festival in Millington, Tennessee.
